Update on Moyle repair progress
Work to repair the Moyle Interconnector is underway. The repair vessel – The North Sea Giant mobilised and arrived in the North Channel on 25th October 2011. Work to repair the south cable is underway with de- trenching of the suspected area currently in progress. Weather conditions and sea currents have affected work over the last couple of days particularly but at this stage we are still targeting an early December return to service for 250MW of the interconnector. Work on the North cable will immediately follow the South cable return to service.
